Summer Fair

We hope to see you at our 2023 Summer Fair!

This year we will be having a village fete-themed fair complete with Maypole!

We will have a range of activities and fun for all the family and of course, we are dog-friendly. There will be equine demonstrations, tombolas, coconut shy, children’s crafts, maypole, summer games and much more! There will be trained members of staff and partnered vets, Paragon and Coomara, available on the day to help with any pet-related questions. 

Ice cream and dog ice creams, food and refreshments will be served on the day from The Tearoom and Education Room, with a dedicated picnic area to sit on the grass and enjoy your Tearoom takeaway. We ask that the public use the bins provided or take their rubbish home with them.

In Orchard Yard, you will find all kinds of fantastic second-hand bargains, including affordable pet equipment (for dogs, cats and horses), homeware, clothes, toys, gifts and other goodies too.

The Rock Decorating Competition will be held on the day with participants able to decorate a rock for £1 and choose to enter the competition for £1, with judging taking place between 2.00pm to 2.30pm.

Don’t forget it’s completely free entry and parking.

Calling all bakers and cake makers!

We are delighted to announce that there will be a Cake Decorating Competition at our Summer Fair! 

How to enter?

• Entry is £3 per cake.
• Bring your fabulous cake along to our site on Saturday 15th July. There will be a tent in the main paddock to bring your cakes to, please drop them off no later than 12.30pm.
• Please consider the weather when decorating your cake as we cannot guarantee they will be kept cool inside a tent.
• Judging will take place between 12.30pm and 1.00pm, by wonderful Chelsea Pensioner Ted Fell. The judging will be based solely on decoration (no tasting) and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd – first place will win a hamper of goodies!
• Once the winner has been announced entrants are able to take their cakes home. Please note that no food or drink that is not purchased on site can be consumed on our premises.

Teddy Bear Hunt

If you go down to the woods on 15th July, you'll be sure of a big surprise...

Hunt around the woods to find all the teddy bears, each bear will have a letter attached to them. Write the letters in the correct place on your sheet and spell a word which describes all your teddy bears at home...

Buy your sheet for £3 from Reception and WIN a teddy bear (or other available treats) on completion!
